I bought a 1.6L Mazda motor for an '01 Protege. Their customer service was good, the motor got delivered within the timeframe they'd specified, and it runs as expected. The engine was delivered pressure washed, cradled fair enough for a used motor, and the oil pan had been pulled with the bolts thoughtfully placed in a bag clamped inside the pan dsoo they wouldn't get lost in transit. Overall I'm really happy with it. I'm assuming the bad ratings are from folks who have never sourced a used motor from a junkyard? I don't review things but after reading the bad reviews I had to get on here to let people know that I was treated great.

It was a very easy way to find a motor for my Toyota Highlander, Ms. Lisa was very helpful with everything. She explained the warranty and the shipping information to me.

Long story short, my 2011 Hyundai engine overheated to the point of needing to be replaced. The dealership quoted me $8900...$5500 of which was for the engine. Having never been in this situation before, I did what any inexperienced person would do...I Googled it:) I found the engine I needed for half of what the dealership was offering. I then contacted our mechanic who had found a similar engine, but it had higher mileage and only a 6 month warranty. I sent him the specs from SWEngines and he was amazed...he said, that is a great deal...buy it! I'm currently waiting for the engine to be delivered. The only downside was that I wanted it shipped directly to my mechanic. Since the shipping address was different from my billing address, I was required to submit a picture of my drivers license and credit card to a secured site. I totally understand the security measure, but in my case, the credit card I used does not have any numbers on it (the new Apple Card). So to expedite the process, I just had it shipped to my home and I'll see if the mechanic can come pick it up. Honestly, I hope I never find myself in this situation again. However, should I, I have found a company that saves me over 50% of what a dealer would charge. The free shipping helped a lot as well. As I am preparing to purchase a couple more vehicles for two sons starting college, this company has given me a new option on how to extend the life of my cars. Thank you SWE:)

Joe, in sales, was very helpful answering all my questions on the spot. Received tracing number and tracked engine to final destination. Part was delivered in 8 business days, and the mechanic at shop said he was very impressed with the condition it came. Well crated and clean, well done, again. This is the 3rd engine I have ordered from them for different vehicles and all were worth the money.
